Welp. It’s that time of year. Boston has become snow town. yesterday was declared as an official snow day for everyone. The cold air definitely does something to my skin. Before making the decision to stay home I was taught to fill in my eyebrows. I know I know. It may seem like a simple thing but I’ve never looked back. When I can actually afford it I will definitely infest in microblading. It looks amazing. Until then I can only dream. I have rounded up my top beauty products for this winter season.

Winter Beauty Products:

Becca’s Backlight Priming Filter is amazing. I first got this in my Play from Sephora box last Summer and fell in love. It starts as a base but also can work like a light shimmer for women with a lighter to fair skin complexion. It normally cost $38 but it last me the whole Summer and Fall. You can get it off amazon if you purchase HERE and there’s a huge discount and you can even use your prime shipping.

Valentia Pure Glow Moisturizer is on of my favorite moisturizer. I originally received a free sample and then was hooked. Ever since then I always purchase my moisturizer from this company. They normally only sell on Amazon so make sure you get yours HERE

Right around my birthday back in September Sephora relaunched their new line Bright Future Gel Serum and I was amazed. So I decided to go ahead and purchase one of their concealers. I love makeup but I hate spending money on it. I can tell you where to purchase the best deals anywhere or the latest trends but I had no clue about color correcting. Come to find out all the enhanced cosmetics that launched had color correcting in them say what….. So the new collection and the new concealer I just purchased will help lessen my dark mom circles and bags. Let me just say it works amazing and I haven’t really used anything else. They color match you so if you purchase anything else off their website you won’t have to worry about it looking awful with another product.

Urban Decan Perversion has been a fave of mine of the last year. Normally I would say Benefit They’re Real would take the winner but Perversion has definitely been a hit with all I need especially when they both cost the same.

Another primer I will say I am recommending would be Hourglass Cosmetics Veil Primer. It does keep my makeup on for the long haul. It even keeps my face looking nice and shiny too lol. You know we always need that.

Like I said about my brows before I do need to graduate to some higher level beings. Until then or at least until I run out I have been using the ELF eyebrow kit.

For an on the budget highlighter I highly recommend Maybellines Strobing Stick. At some point they will be coming out with a liquid form but in my opinion I like to smooth mine on especially when I’m in a rush. The best part another Amazon find its less than what you will find in the drugstores under $10.

Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser: You can use as a makeup remover like its stated on the bottle but I don’t normally recommend. It still leaves residue from mascara and eyeliner when I try to so I don’t even bother. However I highly do recommend for a cleanser. This stuff leaves my skin so soft and its amazing.

Wet N Wild: has these amazing liquid lipsticks from their Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick collection. When they first launched they where only $2.99 but now they are $4.99. That is still a steal. You can only purchase directly on their website or from Walgreens. Walgreens normally sells out quickly. I love wearing their red color. Theres now 13 colors available. To start there were only 4 colors so they had a great first start.

I am actually heading to Ulta later today, and could use a new primer. I will check out both Becca and Hourglass and compare. Thanks for narrowing down my search for me!

I always love it when there is a drug store option listed in a list like this. I think it shows a certain daring and charm to recognize that good things can come in all kinds of places.

True there’s too many products out there to try and too little time.

I don’t use makeup as often as I should and I love you have listed affordable brands and especially for my blond eyebrows. Not many women talk about the makeup-cleanup thanks.

      Its definitely a great buy.

  14. February 11, 2017 / 8:10 PM

Urban Decay has been a favorite of mine for a while now. I really love the color palettes and how well it holds up. It’s one of my daughter’s favorites too.

    • Jalisa
      February 11, 2017 / 10:52 PM

I haven’t tried their color palettes yet. Their next on my list lol.

  15. February 11, 2017 / 9:24 PM

I will have to try out Urban Decay’s Perversion. I’m a huge fan of the Benefit product so if you say this one is better it must be really good! Thanks for the tip!

    • Jalisa
      February 11, 2017 / 10:52 PM

Let me know what you think. Both are great but I’m really liking Urban Decays more.

  16. February 11, 2017 / 10:49 PM

It’s hard to fit the cost of make up into a tight budget, but when I find a brand that I like I stick with it!

    • Jalisa
      February 11, 2017 / 10:51 PM

Yea definitely. I felt the same way when I purchased the becca priming filter lol

  17. February 12, 2017 / 10:32 AM

I am so intrigued by that priming filter product! Mama is always looking to glow more and I’m kind of a primer addict!

    • Jalisa
      February 12, 2017 / 11:06 AM

Hahaha me too. When I got it in my Sephora box. I couldn’t believe I didn’t hear about it sooner. I’m not one to spend so much on a primer but I definitely did on this one lol.

  18. February 12, 2017 / 4:33 PM

I need a new primer but I hate spending money on cosmetics. Primer is the one thing I’ll invest in because it helps keep what little makeup I do wear in place.

    • Jalisa
      February 13, 2017 / 11:54 AM

Haha I totally understand. I started using the drugstore kind but they didn’t work as good. That and mascara are one of the things is something I will splurge on.

These all sound like great products. I have wanted to try the Ponds cream, but I am looking for something good to remove makeup.

  20. February 12, 2017 / 9:49 PM

I’ll have to try Ponds again. I tried it years ago but maybe my skin is in a better place for it now.

    • Jalisa
      February 13, 2017 / 11:14 AM

I’ve tried the clean and clear cold cream cleanser and it didn’t work for me but the Ponds works wonders for me. It’s worth a try.

  21. February 13, 2017 / 12:23 AM
